C'mon in and take a look around. Here at The Sweetest Thing, we make amazing cookies! We have great flavors and we can do pretty much any shape and design you can think up. If you need some ideas, check out the portfolio to get your creative juices flowing. If you feel a distinct lack of creative juices, not to worry, we love to come up with fantabulous, eye-popping ideas that will knock your socks off!
The Sweetest Thing is a true labor of love. I started when my children were 4 years old and 5 months old, as a way to make a living while being able to stay home and raise my children.
I love baking, and anything that allows me to channel my creativity. After years of handmaking all sort of things from quilts, to scrapbooks, party invitations to cakes, I started making and decorating sugar cookies for holidays and school events. Having searched for several years for the right career choice to allow me to stop teaching science and work at home with my family around me, custom sugar cookies seemed like the perfect solution!
The Sweetest Thing is based in Highland, Michigan and we can ship cookies all across the country.

So you've looked through all the pictures and you still can't quite find what you're looking for? That doesn't mean we can't do it! For cookies, we custom fabricate cutters so that we can make any shape you want. So if you're trying to match a school mascot, or a company logo, let us know. We can probably do it!

This cake and all the decoration are entirely edible. Made for my peanut's 5th birthday party. He is OBSESSED with volcanoes and freaked out when he saw this cake! Plus, it was super yummy too!
